Footage has proven the efforts to efficiently seizetwo lynx illegally launched within the Highlands.
The alarm was raised at about 16:20 on Wednesday once they had been noticed within the Drumguish space, close to Kingussie.
Consultants from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) charity labored with police to humanely trap the cats overnight.
They’re now being cared for in quarantine services at Highland Wildlife Park earlier than being transferred to Edinburgh Zoo.
The charity has condemned the unlawful launch as “extremely irresponsible” and mentioned it was seemingly the lynx would have died within the wild.
It mentioned the pair look like in good well being and have been named ‘The Killiehuntly Two’.
