PJSupporters of an 18-year-old Briton jailed for having intercourse with a 17-year-old British woman in Dubai have staged a protest in central London.
Marcus Fakana from Tottenham is serving a one-year jail sentence after being convicted of getting intercourse with the woman, who has now turned 18, once they have been each on vacation.
The woman’s mom reported him to the Dubai authorities after seeing messages between the 2 when she had returned to the UK.
The age of consent within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is eighteen.
‘Unfathomable sentence’
Fakana’s family and friends gathered in Westminster to demand the discharge of {the teenager}.

Fakana had been on bail since his arrest in September, staying in non permanent lodging in Dubai.
