The pinnacle of England’s largest non-metropolitan police drive has been suspended from his function with speedy impact.
Thames Valley’s Police and Crime Commissioner stated Chief Constable Jason Hogg was at present being investigated by the Unbiased Workplace of Police Conduct (IOPC) for gross misconduct.
The investigation includes considerations that the Mr Hogg did not adequately examine allegations across the improper retention of delicate police data.
PCC Matthew Barber stated an interim appointment could be made by the top of January.
In a press release, Mr Barber stated: “I emphasise that the choice to droop is a impartial act.”
“It has no bearing on any indication of guilt and shouldn’t be seen as such,” he stated.
Present Deputy Chief Constable Ben Snuggs will lead the drive till the interim appointment is made, Mr Barber added.
