An adolescent has died after a collision with a automotive as police query a lady on suspicion of drug-driving.

The 15-year-old boy was significantly injured on Saturday after the collision involving a silver Ford Fiesta in New Avenue, Andover, Hampshire at about 6pm.

Hampshire Constabulary stated the teenager – described as a pedestrian – was taken to hospital with life-threatening accidents and has now died.

“His household are being supported by specialist officers as detectives from the Critical Collision Investigation Unit proceed to analyze the incident,” a spokesman stated.

“As a part of our enquiries the motive force of the automobile, a 29-year-old girl from Andover, has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit by medication.

“She has been launched from police custody however stays underneath investigation pending additional enquiries.”
