A bronze sculpture valued at about £60,000 has been stolen from the house of the world-renowned artist who created it.
Essex Police stated the work, known as La Promesse, was taken from Anne Curry Sculpture, at Newland Finish, Arkesden, close to Saffron Walden, between 5 and 6 December.
It has a producing worth of about £20,000 and a sale value of about £60,000.
The big murals, 1.57m (5ft) excessive, 1.25m (4ft) large and 1.55m (5ft) lengthy, is signed by the artist and was designed to be positioned in a canal or pond, the artist’s web site stated.
The drive stated no arrests had been made and that it was pursuing quite a few focused traces of inquiry.
PC Glenn Simons, who’s investigating, stated: “I don’t underestimate the influence this theft has had on the sufferer, and we’ll work determinedly to pursue all affordable traces of inquiry.”
