The York Arms – owned by Samuel Smith’s Brewery – closed all of a sudden in July 2019.
Based mostly in Excessive Petergate, the small however conventional pub has been in search of new landlords because it shut.
In February this yr the brewery supplied £47,000 within the hope of attracting a brand new landlord. The brewery confused that the wage, and operating of the pub, have to be shared by a pair.
Samuel Smith’s failed to draw a landlord with that wage.
Now the brewery is providing £51,000 to a potential couple, with the job advert describing the pub as being in an “wonderful location closest to the west door of York Minster”.
