Most people don't take some things into consideration. when they hear an album, they hear the artist or they hear the lyric or they hear the melody. but they don't really think about the environment in which it was recorded, which is so important. it's that thing that determines what the album sounds like.

Well, led zeppelin iv! that's it really. i'll tell you why the album had no title - because we were so fed up with the reactions to the third album, that people couldn't understand why that record wasn't a direct continuation of the second album. and then people said we were a hype and all, which was the furthest thing from what we were. so we just said, `let's put out an album with no title at all!' that way, either people like it or they don't... but we still got bad reviews!

When you go through a tunnel - you're going on a train - you go through a tunnel, the tunnel is dark, but you're still going forward. just remember that. but if you're not going to get up on stage for one night because you're discouraged or something, then the train is going to stop. everytime you get up on stage, if it's a long tunnel, it's going to take a lot of times of going on stage before things get bright again. you keep going on stage, you go forward. every night you go on stage.

You have to write a book because you believe it has helped you, because you believe it has helped others personally and you are dying to share with it others because you know it will add value to their lives. you write it for them like a gift. you don't want anything from them. you don't want them to do anything for you. you don't even care if they all share the book with their friends, they don't all have to buy them. you're just dying to share this idea with people. your challenge is to write it in a way that is compelling, enjoyable to read so that they will get the idea.
