When it does get below freezing and there is - it's cold enough for ice to form, then that changes the whole landscape, and it makes the landscape a different landscape to the one that i worked with previously. and i want to understand that. but the big tension of the ice works is that they're often made when it's cold enough to freeze one piece of ice to another.

There's been times when i've been in really tough shape at the top of the course. talk about a hard challenge right there. i mean, if you ever tried to ski when you're wasted, it's not easy. try and ski a slalom when … you hit a gate less than every one a second, so it's risky, you know. you're putting your life at risk there. it's like driving drunk only there's no rules about it in ski racing.

And talking about dark! you think dark is just one color, but it ain't. there're five or six kinds of black. some silky, some woolly. some just empty. some like fingers. and it don't stay still, it moves and changes from one kind of black to another. saying something is pitch black is like saying something is green. what kind of green? green like my bottles? green like a grasshopper? green like a cucumber, lettuce, or green like the sky is just before it breaks loose to storm? well, night black is the same way. may as well be a rainbow.
