We have to think and see how we can fundamentally change our education system so that we can train people to develop warm-heartedness early on in order to create a healthier society. i don't mean we need to change the whole system, just improve it. we need to encourage an understanding that inner peace comes from relying on human values like, love, compassion, tolerance and honesty, and that peace in the world relies on individuals finding inner peace.

The two mistakes that come to mind are people who introduce a flood of characters in the first few pages. where the reader has to stop and get out a flow chart and has to figure out who is who. and you just can't do that - introduce the first four generations of a character's family in the first chapter. you can introduce four or five characters at the most in the first chapter. another mistake is to use big words that are not normally used in conversation to try to impress folks with your vocabulary.

When young we have a vivid sense of basic values like trust and warm-heartedness, which we tend to neglect in today's competitive world as we grow up, yet from birth we all have a need for affection. the emotions we experience today have not changed much over the last few thousand years, but the interest increasing numbers of people are showing in their inner world and how their emotions work is a sign of maturity.
