Class warfare always sounds good. taking action against the rich and the powerful and making 'em pay for what they do, it always sounds good. but that's not the job of the supreme court. the supreme court standing on the side of the american people? the supreme court adjudicates the law. the supreme court determines the constitutionality of things and other things. the supreme court's gotten way out of focus, in my opinion.

It's humbling to know that you have fans all over america and all over the world and they want you to play on their respective basketball team. it's very humbling that they respect the way i play the game of basketball. i can't discredit that. i can't say i don't enjoy it because you put in a lot of hard work to have fans. and for me to be a role model and for me to have fans all over is great. it's very humbling.

I can't imagine where i'd be without the opportunities provided to me in sports. sports taught me that gender isn't an issue; in fact, when people talk about me being the first female governor, i'm a little absent from that discussion, because i've never thought of gender as an issue. in sports, you learn self-discipline, healthy competition, to be gracious in victory and defeat, and the importance of being part of a team and understanding what part you play on that team. you all work together to reach a goal, and i think all of those factors come into play in my role as governor.

A lot of men do have a fear of my ultra-femininity. sometimes people say i look like a drag queen, that i look scary, but i think that's a fear of my confidence. most women in contemporary culture pare down their femininity, so there's a slight androgyny about them, and i think men have got used to seeing that.

I receive huge support from irish and british sports fans alike and it is greatly appreciated. likewise i feel i have a great affinity with the american sports fans. i play most of my golf in the u.s. nowadays and i am incredibly proud to have won the u.s. open and u.s. pga championship in the last two years.
