The ear participates, and helps arrange marriages; the eye has already made love with what it sees. the eye knows pleasure, delights in the body's shape: the ear hears words that talk about all this. when hearing takes place, character areas change; but when you see, inner areas change. if all you know about fire is what you have heard see if the fire will agree to cook you! certain energies come only when you burn. if you long for belief, sit down in the fire! when the ear receives subtly; it turns into an eye. but if words do not reach the ear in the chest, nothing happens.

Politicians will promise some pretty ridiculous things. they will promise a chicken in every pot. they'll promise that they'll keep social security solvent. they'll promise drugs for old people. they'll promise lots of stuff. but it doesn't come near the kind of promises that religion makes. the mormons promise that if you're good while you're on earth, you get to rule over your own planet in the afterlife. now, there's an entitlement that goes a little bit beyond prescription drugs for old people.

Say the prayer first thing in the morning when you open your eyes; then say it again before you go to sleep. dream the prayer. feel the prayer with your emotional body. be the prayer; align your faith and intent with the prayer until your whole life is based on this prayer.

We fear the past, present and future. we fear the unknown, we fear not having enough, losing what we have, not having what we want. we fear what will become of us and those that we care for. we fear what others think of us and what they don't think of us. we fear, fear, fear and therefore we are controllable through the manipulation of all that we fear. the present war on terror is the war of fear. no fear, no control.

Satan cannot deny but that great wonders have been wrought by prayer. as the spirit of prayer goes up, so his kingdom goes down. satan's strategems against prayer are three. first, if he can, he will keep thee from prayer. if that be not feasible, secondly, he will strive to interrupt thee in prayer. and, thirdly, if that plot takes not, he will labour to hinder the success of thy prayer.

Fear keeps us rooted in the past. fear of the unknown, fear of abandonment, fear of rejection, fear of not having enough, fear of not being enough, fear of the future-all these fears and more keep us trapped, repeating the same old patterns and making the same choices over and over again. fear prevents us from moving outside the comfort-or even the familiar discomfort-of what we know. it's nearly impossible to achieve our highest vision for our lives as long as we are being guided by our fears.
