In life, winning and losing will both happen. what is never acceptable is quitting.

There comes that phase in life when, tired of losing, you decide to stop losing, then continue losing. then you decide to really stop losing, and continue losing. the losing goes on and on so long you begin to watch with curiosity, wondering how low you can go.

Quitting, for me, means not giving up, but moving on; changing direction not because something doesn’t agree with you, but because you don’t agree with something. it’s not a complaint, in other words, but a positive choice, and not a stop in one’s journey, but a step in a better direction. quitting-whether a job or a habit-means taking a turn so as to be sure you’re still moving in the direction of your dreams.

I learned to live many years ago. something really, really bad happened to me, something that changed my life in ways that, if i had my druthers, it would never have been changed at all. what i learned from it is that today seems to be the hardest lesson of all. i learned to love the journey, not the destination. i learned that it is not a dress rehearsal, and that today is the only guarantee you get. i learned to look at all the good in the world and to try to give some of it back because i believed in it completely and utterly.

Perpetuating success or sliding into decline is the result of many intersecting forces that reinforce one another directly and indirectly. they are both cause and effect of winning or losing. winning generates positive forces, losing generates negative forces.
