A 33-year-old lady has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a person within the early hours of Christmas Day.
Staffordshire Police stated officers have been referred to as to a report of a person in his 30s struggling a cardiac arrest who died shortly afterwards.
The incident occurred on Elm Highway, Norton Canes close to Cannock at round 3.25am.
The lady has been remanded in custody and the person’s household have been informed, Staffordshire Police stated.
A autopsy examination will happen on Boxing Day morning, the drive added.
In a press release, Staffordshire Police stated: “ A lady has been arrested after we launched an investigation into the dying of a person at a home in Norton Canes.
“We have been referred to as to a report of a person in his 30s in cardiac arrest on Elm Highway, Norton Canes at round 3:25am this morning (25 December). Sadly, regardless of the perfect efforts of emergency providers on the scene, he handed away a short time later.
“The person’s subsequent of kin have been knowledgeable and at the moment are being supported by specially-trained officers.
“A 33-year-old lady from Cannock has been arrested on suspicion of homicide and is in custody.
