A pair of glasses belonging to the comedian Eric Morecambe have been offered for £20,000 at public sale.
Private objects and showbiz memorabilia from Morecambe’s dwelling in Hertfordshire have been put up on the market following the dying of his widow, Joan, in March 2024.
The glasses have been offered together with a Barling briar pipe and two images of the comedian. Different tons included telegrams from the late Duke of Edinburgh and letters from Margaret Thatcher and fellow comics Ronnie Barker and Tommy Cooper.
The public sale comes greater than 40 years after Morecambe’s dying in 1984, and included greater than 700 tons.
