Sainsbury’s has introduced it can lower 3,000 jobs by shutting down its remaining cafés in addition to closing its patisserie and pizza counters.
The grocery store mentioned the transfer would “simplify the enterprise”, including that “the vast majority of Sainsbury’s most loyal consumers don’t use the cafés repeatedly”.
A number of the job cuts can even be made on the senior stage, with Sainsbury’s estimating there might be “an estimated 20% discount in senior administration roles over the following few months”.
Sainsbury’s chief govt Simon Roberts mentioned the chain was dealing with “a very difficult value atmosphere which suggests we have now needed to make powerful selections”.
