‘People were flying’: Eyewitnesses describe ski lift collapse

Eyewitnesses have described the second a ski carry failed within the Spanish Pyrenees, leaving at the very least 17 folks significantly injured.

One boy stated folks had been “flying and pirouetting”, when the “complete chair all of the sudden began bouncing”.

Ambulances and helicopters ferried the injured to hospital.

The reason for the chair-lift failure is at present unknown.
