Earlier this month, the UK authorities mentioned it had efficiently secured quota for shares totalling as much as £890 million for the UK fishing fleet in 2025.
This was the results of profitable negotiations with the EU, Norway and coastal States within the northeast Atlantic.
The Authorities mentioned that the UK has gained as much as 120,000 tonnes extra quota from the 2025 annual negotiations than it could have as an EU member state.
Fisheries Minister Daniel Zeichner mentioned: “That is one other instance of how we’re delivering on our Plan for Change, boosting our British fishing trade by supporting the lifeblood of many coastal communities.”
