Watch The Stand’s new trailer, where an apocalyptic plague heralds the end of the world

Within the battle between good and evil, which facet will people select? That is the query upcoming CBS All Access miniseries The Stand  seeks to reply. (Disclosure: CBS is the dad or mum firm of PJDM.)

“The world is now a clean web page, make your stand,” Goldberg’s Mom Abagail says.  

The trailer reveals quite a lot of characters who will bond or combat towards one another. James Marsden performs Stu Redman, Odessa Young is the heroic Frannie Goldsmith, Amber Heard is the mysterious Nadine Cross, Owen Teague as the damaging incel Harold Lauder, and Jovan Adepo as troubled musician Larry Underwood.

It is a world stuffed with desolate roads suffering from deserted vehicles, lifeless our bodies and despair. However one crucial highway leads the survivors to the Boulder Free Zone — the place individuals guided by Mom Abagail come collectively to assist rebuild society. “All I do know is we dreamed of her and she or he was actual,” Redman says within the trailer.

Different cast members for The Stand embrace Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why), Brad William Henke (Orange Is the New Black) and Daniel Sunjata (The Dark Knight Rises).

The Stand collection additionally features a new coda on the finish of the finale written by King himself, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The Stand premieres on CBS All Entry on Dec.17. New episodes of the nine-episode will air weekly.
