So often, we blame other people when, really, the problem is right down in here. i'm not happy. i don't know what's wrong. if i just had another job, i could be happy. if i just get married, i would be happy. well if i just wasn't married, i would be happy. well, if i just had some kids, i'll be happy. i'll be happy when these kids finally grow up and get out of here. if i had a bigger house, i would be happy. well, i got a big house. now if i just had a maid to clean, i'd be happy. well, now if i just had a maid i could get along with better, i'd be happy.

Same-sex marriage is so ingrained in the culture now that when you're talking about regular, good old-fashioned marriage, you have to say "opposite-sex marriage" to let people know what you're talking about. just describing, just talking about "marriage" doesn't let anybody know what you mean anymore. you have to specify opposite-sex marriage.

In marriage for example, you say 'yes' on the day you get married, 'i do', but each day you implicitly if not explicitly, also say 'yes', by every act that one performs in a marriage, one is saying 'yes', making a cup of coffee for one's wife or husband is a form of saying 'yes' to the marriage vow that one is continuing the marriage by affirming it in one's deeds. and exactly the same in the religious life.

If gay marriage is a real thing, gay infertility must be a real thing. it's not fair. i mean, it wasn't fair they couldn't get married, and now it's not fair that they can't have babies, even though they're not infertile, that doesn't matter. and so there must be access to infertility insurance for married gay couples, if our culture and if our society is to be fair and equal for one and all, and it is coming, and don't laugh about it.
