And people who believe in god think god has put human beings on earth because they think human beings are the best animal, but human beings are just an animal and they will evolve into another animal, and that animal will be cleverer and it will put human beings into a zoo, like we put chimpanzees and gorillas into a zoo. or human beings will all catch a disease and die out or they will make too much pollution and kill themselves, and then there will only be insects in the world and they will be the best animal.

We tried so hard. we were always trying to help each other. but not because we were helpless. he needed to get things for me, just as i needed to get things for him. it gave us purpose. sometimes i would ask him for something that i did not even want, just to let him get it for me. we spent our days trying to help each other help each other. i would get his slippers. he would make my tea. i would turn up the heat so he could turn up the air conditioner so i could turn up the heat.

We're human beings we are - all of us - and that's what people are liable to forget. human beings don't like peace and goodwill and everybody loving everybody else. however much they may think they do, they don't really because they're not made like that. human beings love eating and drinking and loving and hating. they also like showing off, grabbing all they can, fighting for their rights and bossing anybody who'll give them half a chance.

We don't believe it's possible to protect digital content. what's new is this amazingly efficient distribution system for stolen property called the internet-- and no one's gonna shut down the internet. and it only takes one stolen copy to be on the internet. and the way we expressed it to them is: pick one lock--open every door. it only takes one person to pick a lock. worst case: somebody just takes the analog outputs of their cd player and rerecords it-- puts it on the internet. you'll never stop that. so what you have to do is compete with it.

No difference small as a peanut, big as a giant, we're all the same size when we turn off the light. rich as a sultan, poor as a mite, we're all worth the same when we turn off the light. red, black or orange, yellow or white, we all look the same when we turn off the light. so maybe the way, to make everything right is for god to just reach out and turn off the light!
