Martin luther king challenged the conscience of my generation, and his words and his legacy continue to move generations to action today at home and around the world. his love and faith is alive in millions of americans who volunteer each day in soup kitchens or in schools, or who refused to ignore the suffering of millions they'd never met in far-away places when a tsunami brought unthinkable destruction. his vision and his passion is alive in churches and on campuses when millions stand up against the injustice of discrimination anywhere, or the indifference that leaves too many behind.

I'm truly saddened to learn of steve jobs' death. the world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. for those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor. i will miss steve immensely.

I am inspired by thinkers. i am inspired by rebellion. i am inspired by children. i have been inspired by love. i have been inspired by heartbreak. i try to take everything that comes at me in life. there have been times in my life that i didn't handle things... right. but even though you stumble, you still kind of get through it.

Apple was very close to bankruptcy and to irrelevance [but] you learn a lot about life through death, and i learnt a lot about vital corporations by experiencing a non-vital corporation. you would have thought that, when what stands between you and bankruptcy is some money, your focus would be on making some money, but that was not [steve jobs’] preoccupation. his observation was that the products weren’t good enough and his resolve was, we need to make better products. that stood in stark contrast to the previous attempts to turn the company around.

I think that the way that steve jobs sought after love was to create products that people loved. and when people loved his products, in turn they - he felt like they loved him.
