I learned that canadians are furious because canada is exporting water to the united states. their lakes are shrinking because they're selling water to the u.s. we water our golf courses and every ice cream shop and every coffee shop in the country because the health inspector has said you have to have a steady stream of water cleaning your spoons that you're frothing milk with and their ice cream scoopers. are you kidding me? we're wasting all this water while we're sucking it from canada and they're watching their lakes shrink?

Man is taking over the forests and polluting the oceans, the animal species are threatened. i try to contribute as much as i can. we're really messing up our environment. i try to get people more aware of what's going on so that they can, even in a local way, try to prevent pollution to their lakes and rivers and prevent nuclear dumping in the oceans - it's bad enough that they're doing it in residential areas, but putting it in the ocean! eventually it's going to pollute our food resources and, if the ocean dies, we're gone.

I call the light and high aspects of my being spirit and the dark and heavy aspects soul. soul is at home in the deep, shaded valleys. heavy torpid flowers saturated with black grow there. the rivers flow like warm syrup. they empty into huge oceans of soul. spirit is a land of high white peaks and glittering jewel-like lakes and flowers. life is sparse and sounds travel great distances. there is soul music, soul food, and soul love... people need to climb the mountain not simple because it is there but because the soulful divinity needs to be mated with the spirit.

Land taxes is the thing. they got so high that there is no chance to make anything. not only land but all property tax. you see in the old days, why the only thing they knew how to tax was land, or a house. well, that condition went along for quite awhile, so even today the whole country tries to run its revenue on taxes on land. they never ask if the land makes anything. "it's land ain't it? well tax it then."

As far as i'm concerned, the world is composed of stories. for architects, the world is composed of buildings, for actors the world is composed of theatres, or whatever... for me, the world is simply composed of stories, when i look, that's what i see.
