There are still people who insist that we have to preach on repentance. well, i disagree! i think we should do it god’s way – preach the goodness of god and allow the goodness of god to lead people to repentance. such repentance will be true repentance. it will not be motivated by the fear of judgment and indignation. it will be a genuine repentance that is motivated by his grace, unconditional love and compassion. after all, our ability to love god stems from our first tasting his love for us.

When the death of a disabled infant will lead to the birth of another infant with better prospects of a happy life, the total amount of happiness will be greater if the disabled infant is killed. the loss of happy life for the first infant is outweighed by the gain of happier life for the second. therefore, if killing the hemophiliac infant has no adverse effect on others, it would, according to the total view, be right to kill him.

Innovative efforts should never report to line managers charged with responsibility for ongoing operations. the new project is an infant and will remain one for the foreseeable future, and infants belong in the nursery. the 'adults', that is, the executives in charge of existing businesses or products will have neither the time nor understanding for the infant.

Usually you just use these words: "i give you my, i make this commitment to you, i honor this idea between us." for me, commitment boils down to honor. because you make a commitment to protect our environment, you make a commitment to species preservation, you make a commitment to stop things like human trafficking. you make a commitment to stop smoking, to eat better. typically, something that is positive. a positive notion of honor.
