I just love the fact that all my pals are basically looked after. you know, we have these amazing deals, these guys split 50 percent. we have ownership 50 percent, all the bonuses 50 percent, and everybody's going to be alright. so going forward into the future, every one of these millarworld projects, as we call them, 50 percent partners on everything. so it's just a really happy environment to be working in.

So often, we blame other people when, really, the problem is right down in here. i'm not happy. i don't know what's wrong. if i just had another job, i could be happy. if i just get married, i would be happy. well if i just wasn't married, i would be happy. well, if i just had some kids, i'll be happy. i'll be happy when these kids finally grow up and get out of here. if i had a bigger house, i would be happy. well, i got a big house. now if i just had a maid to clean, i'd be happy. well, now if i just had a maid i could get along with better, i'd be happy.

I am not the kind of person that wants to enforce my wants, likes, desires, on everybody else. i have no desire that everybody like what i like. i have no desire everybody say what i want to hear said. i have no desire everybody stop whatever they're doing and listen to what i have to say. i have no desire that everybody agree. no, that's not true. i do wish everybody agreed, but i'm not gonna sit around and force that on people.

Oh god, are there so many of them in our land! students who can’t be happy until they’ve graduated, servicemen who can’t be happy until they are discharged, single folks who can’t be happy until they’ve found a mate, workers who can’t be happy until they’ve retired, adolescents who aren’t happy until they’re grown, ill people who aren’t happy until they’re well, failures who aren’t happy until they succeed, restless who can’t wait until they get out of town, and in most cases, vice versa, people waiting, waiting for the world to begin.

Most of my life, everybody made more money than i did at the places i worked. in fact, when i've been an employee, i have never been anywhere close to being the highest paid person there, never. i was working hard. i was working hard. i was doing things i didn't want to do, that i thought i should do. i was getting up every day, going to work, did not phone in sick. striving. trying to get ahead, you know, doing what obama says, working hard and applying myself and trying to get ahead. there was always somebody, there were always a lot of people that earned more than i did.

I think everyone is throwing happy stuff at you, and that's when you come over all humbug. it's happy stuff in your face, happy stuff is being sold to you.
