In the specific case of abortion, the matter is particularly easy in that no woman wants a late abortion. once abortion was made legal, the age of the aborted fetus went down. the slope slipped in the other direction. if we legalize ru-486 and other similar new drugs, the age will fall to one week or less and start approaching zero. the slippery slope will slide in the other direction. the only reason we have late abortions is because we make early abortion difficult.

Here is the great secret of success. work with all your might; but trust not in the least in your work. pray with all your might for the blessing of god; but work, at the same time, with all diligence, with all patience, with all perseverance. pray then, and work. work and pray. and still again pray, and then work. and so on all the days of your life. the result will surely be, abundant blessing. whether you see much fruit or little fruit, such kind of service will be blessed.

Too many people in america believe that if you are pro-choice that means pro-abortion. it doesn't. i don't want abortion. abortion should be the rarest thing in the world. i am actually personally opposed to abortion. but i don't believe that i have a right to take what is an article of faith to me and legislate it to other people. that's not how it works in america.
