Facebook and Twitter try to limit ‘NY Post’ story on Joe Biden’s son

A number of hours after the story was first revealed, Twitter took an much more aggressive step: it blocked the URL from being shared in tweets and direct messages. Beforehand-tweeted hyperlinks now floor a warning that “this hyperlink could also be unsafe.” 

In a press release, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed the transfer. “In step with our Hacked Supplies Coverage, in addition to our method to blocking URLs, we’re taking motion to dam any hyperlinks to or photos of the fabric in query on Twitter,” the spokesperson mentioned, pointing to the corporate’s coverage on hacked materials and pointers for blocking specific URLs.
