Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War confirmed in trailer


Activision has confirmed its long-rumored game, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in a teaser trailer launched Wednesday. The sport studio will convey extra particulars on the sport — set in Verdansk, the Call of Duty: Warzone setting — subsequent week on Aug. 26.

“Know your historical past or be doomed to repeat it,” Name of Responsibility says within the caption of the YouTube video.

“On the peak of the Chilly Struggle, KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov points a chilling warning,” the 2-minute video says. “He claims a Soviet spy codename: ‘Perseus’ has infiltrated Western intelligence. His purpose: Subvert the US to make sure Soviet dominance within the arms race.”

With the whereabouts and identification of Perseus remaining unknown a long time later, “catastrophe is coming nearer and nearer,” the trailer says. It is set in opposition to historic footage of the Chilly Struggle.

Black Ops Chilly Struggle leaked months ago in June, in response to CNET sister website GameSpot.
