Amazon’s head of consumer operations to retire

Jeff Wilke, head of Amazon’s client enterprise, plans to retire within the first quarter of 2021 and will probably be changed by Dave Clark, senior vp of worldwide operations.

The announcement got here in a securities submitting Friday morning. Amazon’s press workplace did not instantly reply to a request for remark.

Wilke joined Amazon in 1999, when the e-commerce large was solely 5 years previous, and began as an operations government. He rose within the government ranks within the operations and client companies to ultimately acquire the title in 2016 of  CEO of the worldwide client enterprise.

Clark additionally joined Amazon in 1999. He was named the top of operations in January 2013.
